13 January 2010
Economical vent with built in gasket and frame protects equipment during deflagrations
Broken Arrow, Okla. (January 12, 2010) - Airborne dust in agricultural and food processing facilities can create extremely explosive conditions. Oseco offers simple, economical protection during deflagrations with the NFPA 61 compliant GLV-F explosion vent.
The GLV-F mounts on conveyors and grain elevators where dust builds up. In the event of an explosion, the GLV-F opens up to release pressure and minimize damage. The explosion vent is simple to install with a built-in outlet frame and gasket that eliminates the needs to fabricate an angle iron hold down frame.
The product meets the requirements of NFPA 61 for the prevention of fires and dust explosions in agricultural and food processing facilities. The GLV-F is also available with an alarm sensor for automatic system shut-down after an explosion.
