Bilingual Inside Sales Representative
Description:
Processes orders for material or merchandise received by mail, fax, telephone, or personally from customer, representative, or outside sales personnel by performing the following duties.
- Edits orders received for price and nomenclature
- Seeks technical clarification from engineering staff on all items outside published data
- Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
- Writes or types order form, or enters data into computer. Determines total cost for customer.
- Ascertains credit rating of customer
- Routes orders to departments for processing and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
- Computes price, discount, sales representative's commission, and shipping charges.
- Receives and checks customer complaints.
- Confers with production, sales, shipping or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
- Attempts to sell additional merchandise to customer.
- Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management.
Qualifications:
- MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH AND/OR PORTUGUESE & ENGLISH
- High school graduate (some college preferred)
- 1-2 years experience (or equivalent training) in customer service
- Sales experience preferred
- Experience in international business a plus
- Good math & reasoning skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
- Team player / Quick learner
